Sex Work and Economics – A rapid annotated bibliography
An annotated bibliography by Greenall M that explored the literature on sex work and economics and ordered the resources into the following categories:
- “Explanations” of sex work as a market and links between sex work and poverty, inequality and growth; entry into sex work
- Contributions of sex industry to development and economics
- Economics within the sex industry
- “Economic empowerment”/“Income generation” for sex workers
For each document he has provided some brief notes on the content in some cases explaining the inclusion of documents that may not appear directly relevant. He has also noted the type of document: theoretical, analytical, debate, primary research, secondary research, review.
