SANGRAM on USAID Website
After all the drama of the US government accusing PLRI and NSWP partner SANGRAM of being traffickers because they returned US money rather than sign its anti prostitution pledge, SANGRAM triumphs! A SANGRAM case study has been posted on USAID's AIDSTAR-One website.
It is hoped that this marks a shift in US policy toward supporting evidence based HIV prevention and care rather than wasting money on 'raid & rescue' and HIV prevention that is limited to promoting condoms and abstinence to sex workers whose human rights are being systematically violated by unfair laws and policies.
